Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Valuing Every Perspective

One of our core values is collaboration. Collaboration is an important step in scientific discovery, and it’s also an important part of creating a culture that actively seeks out unique ideas from a wide range of perspectives.

The unique attributes and life experiences of our employees enrich our workplace, fuel innovation, and enhance our ability to serve our patients effectively. By embracing diverse perspectives and cultivating a culture of collaboration, we aim to create a workplace where everyone feels welcomed and supported, ultimately driving our success in improving patient outcomes and fulfilling the needs of the communities we serve.

Neurocrine believes that everyone can make an impact, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to compliance with anti-discrimination laws. We believe in providing equal opportunities to every employee so they have the chance to succeed based on their skills, experience, qualifications, and contributions. Accordingly, we have not implemented diversity hiring quotas or offered incentives tied to diversity metrics for bonuses or executive compensation. All of our employment decisions, including hiring, development, promotion, pay, and retention practices, are merit-based, ensuring fair and unbiased opportunities for all employees.

Employee Engagement

We support innovation, encourage collaboration, and are dedicated to the continued growth and development of all our employees. Employee Resource Networks (ERNs) are open to all employees to join and are designed to foster connections, provide support, and promote personal and professional growth based on shared experiences and backgrounds. Currently we have nine ERNs: Asian ERN, Black ERN, Christian ERN, disAbility ERN, Hispanic ERN, LGBTQ+ ERN, Veterans ERN, Women ERN, and Young Professionals ERN.

“I was very fortunate to have served 30 years in the US Air Force Reserve with individuals from all over the United States, as well as the world. You quickly learn that your way of seeing a problem or dealing with a situation is based only on your life experiences. Surrounding yourself with those who have different life experiences truly broadens the options and allows for much better solutions. Working here at Neurocrine, I’ve seen the strides and efforts the company has made to bring in those different and diverse backgrounds and experiences for a more inclusive culture.”

Denis Heinz, Regional Patient Access Manager

“As I continue to expand my knowledge and gain experience in this industry, my manager and colleagues never fail to include me in meetings or discussions where I may gain insight and further my learning, but also giving me the opportunity to present and employ my own ideas. There is a very admirable and inclusive mentorship approach that makes the workplace feel less like work and feel more like community.”

Lannee Nguyen, Senior Clinical Trials Manager

"Neurocrine has created an inclusive culture that empowers employees to work with leadership to take action that is meaningful and relevant to the respective communities. It made me feel incredible that leadership took the time to sit down and discuss my thoughts, it makes me feel worthy to be heard and that the company is going to take action steps to ensure we have created an inclusive and diverse workplace—a diverse workplace makes for a better workplace.”
