Diversity, Equity, and
Inclusion
The more diverse voices we have, the better we can work to fulfill the needs of the patients and communities we serve.
One of our core values is collaboration. Collaboration is an important step in scientific discovery, and it’s also an important part of creating a culture that actively seeks out unique ideas from a wide range of perspectives.
As a signatory of Biocom California’s DE&I Member Pledge, we have committed to accelerate diversity, equity, and inclusion in life sciences. We also have a leader in a full-time role dedicated to accelerating our own DE&I efforts.
Our DE&I Council, which includes staff who represent different backgrounds and roles from across the company and is supported by a Management Committee member as Executive Sponsor, provides advisement and guidance on Neurocrine Biosciences DE&I priorities and initiatives.
We support innovation, encourage collaboration, and are dedicated to the continued growth and development of all our employees. Employee Resource Networks are open to all employees to
join for support and connection based on common interests, backgrounds, or demographics, promoting a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
We engage all employees, including the CEO and Management Committee, in unconscious bias training. Our sustained efforts to foster a community of listening, learning, and meaningful action among employees include a DE&I library of resources, external guest speakers, communications, and events in recognition of important observances such as Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Black History Month, Juneteenth, National Hispanic Heritage Month, Pride Month, and Women’s History Month.
Through both financial support and personal involvement, Neurocrine and our people are proud to partner with the following organizations.
Biocom California Institute’s Military Fellowship Program is an introductory career exploration opportunity for transitioning military and veterans to explore opportunities in life sciences.
Ocean Discovery Institute creates learning experiences for young people traditionally excluded from science due to race, income status, and educational opportunity. Ocean Discovery Institute students will join high-paying fields, break generational poverty, and change the future of science.
San Diego Squared connects underrepresented students to the power of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) by providing access to education, mentorship, and resources they need to lead the talent pipeline.

Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) is a private, nonprofit, community-founded, student-centered University committed to cultivating diverse health professions leaders who are dedicated to social justice and health equity for underserved populations through outstanding education, clinical service, and community engagement.
